ELWIRA DURBAK Peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2002 at Holy Family Nursing Home, Elwira Durbak aged 103 years. Elwira was born on February 2, 1899 in Stanislawiw, Ukraine. Mother Elwira will be lovingly remembered by her son Engelbert (Bob) and his wife Luise; grandchildren, John, Claudia, Cynthia, Monica, Herfried, Ines and their families; great-grandchildren, Gwen, Chris, Maria Christina, Cara, Ainsley, Michael; great-great-grandchild Braeden. She was predeceased by her husband Stefan Durbak; sons, Hans and Herbert. She loved life and was grateful for every new day and never complained. She entertained the people in the nursing home with her wit, singing, storytelling and great humour up in her old age. The family gives their sincere thanks to the wonderful people in Holy Family Nursing Home, Rev. Sisters, nurses and staff for their loving patients, care and kindness. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Monday, October 28 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St., with Mitrat J. Holowaty officiating. Interment to follow in All Saints Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined, if friends so desire, donations may be made to Holy Family Nursing Home. May Elwiras soul rest in peace in Gods great merciful love.
