Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNE FEHR July 14, 1925 - October 25, 2002 It is with great sorrow that we announce the sudden passing of our mother, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother on October 25, 2002 at the Dryden Regional Health Centre at the age of 77. Anne was born in Russia on July 14, 1925 and came to Canada at the early age of two. Her childhood years were spent in the Elm Creek-Wingham area. She moved to Winnipeg where she worked at a sewing factory and later a housekeeper. In 1948, she met and married George Fehr. In 1952, they moved to Red Lake Road, ON where she cooked at Colenso Lumber Company for four years, then moved to the Dryden area where she worked a the Dryden Hospital in housekeeping for seven years. Anne was actively involved in the community where she was on the Board of Directors of the Association for Community Living and the Handi-Transit Board. Anne and George loved and raised six children. Anne loved baking, knitting, and her flowers, but her greatest love was for her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Anne is survived by her four daughters, Linda (Dennis) Hodges of Dryden, Margaret (Geary) Hill of Nipigon, Marilyn (Ray) Wood of Dryden, and Ruth (Bob) Bremner of Kitchener; by two sons, Norman at home, and Ben (Nancy) Fehr of Dryden. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by three sisters, Lena Somers, Lydia Hildebrandt, and Betty Klassen; and by two brothers, Peter and Ernest Neufeld. She was predeceased by her parents, Abe and Anna Neufeld; by her husband George Fehr in January 1976, two brothers, Abe and John; and one sister Marta. A celebration of Annes life will be held at Emmanuel Baptist Church on Tuesday, October 29 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Shawn Foster officiating. Interment will follow at the Dryden Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, October 28 at the Stevens Moffat Chapel from 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Pallbearers are Darcy Hodges, Duane Hodges, Edward Wood, Greg Hill, Tom Brignall, and Sandy Dyck. In lieu of flowers and if friends so desire, donations may be made to Emmanuel Baptist Church Missions or the Heart and Stroke Foundation.
