CORY HEIDE It is with great sadness and deep sorrow, after a bravely fought battle with cancer, we announce that Cory, surrounded by his loving family, passed away on October 26, 2002 at the St. Boniface Hospital, at the age of 33. Cory leaves to celebrate his life his wife Isabel; stepchildren, David and Jasmine of Winnipeg; his parents, Herman and Anne Heide of Hochfeld, MB; his brother Wes (Tammy) of Winnipeg; his sisters, Cecilia (John) Fehr and their children, Brendyn, Kyndrielle, and Miekeala of Morden, and Cheryl (Micheal) Kehler and their children, Steven, Joshua, and Jeremy of Morden; and numerous uncles, aunts, and cousins. Cory was predeceased by his maternal grandparents, David and Anna Wolfe; his paternal grandparents, Herman and Maria Heide; and his nephew Jonathan Mark Fehr. Cory was born August 8, 1969 in Winkler, and moved to Winnipeg in 1985. Cory was baptized upon confession of his faith on September 3, 2002 and married Isabel on October 4, 2002. Cory will always be remembered for his gentle and loving ways. He was a devoted husband, father, son, brother, uncle and friend who loved to spend time with his family and friends. Cory enjoyed many outdoor activities with his father and brother. Cory was hard working, and worked for many years at Heatrans Radiator Ltd. and it was here that he made many lifelong friends. Although his life was shortened by his illness, his spirit was strong until the end. We will miss him dearly. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, October 30 at 2:00 p.m. at the Evangelical Mennonite Mission Church, 600 Southview Dr., Winkler, MB. Interment will follow in Winkler Cemetery. On behalf of Cory his family gives heartfelt thanks to all the staff of CancerCare, Drs. Navratnum, Chowdry, and Sisler, the chemotherapy nurses especially Olie, the Palliative Home Care Staff, and Pastor Dale Dueck. In lieu of flowers, donations in Corys memory may be made to CancerCare Manitoba, 109-675 McDermot Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3E 0V9.
