PETER KITZAN Peacefully on Saturday, October 26, 2002 at Concordia Hospital, Peter Kitzan, aged 70, went home to be with Jesus. Peter will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 39 years, Fay; children, Beth Kitzan and Christine (Mike) Seemann; brother Paul (Mary) Kitzan; sisters, Mary (Bill) Kuzek, Kaye Sebulski, Rose (Ken) Christian; mother-in-law Elaine Bell; brother-in-law Larry (Darlene) Bell; friend Pam Topham; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, nephews, nieces, cousins and their families. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Wasylka Kitzan and brother-in-law Paul Sebulski. Peter was born on June 25, 1932 on the family farm near Theodore, SK. Upon graduating from high school he worked for a few years at farming, then in 1962 went on to barber college in Saskatoon. He met Fay in Saskatoon and married her in 1963. He barbered in a few small towns in Saskatchewan and Manitoba before moving to Winnipeg, when he took a maintenance position at the NorthStar Inn until his retirement. He was an avid sports fan, playing on the company baseball team as well as enjoying the Winnipeg hockey, baseball and football games. The family would like to thank the paramedics and hospital staff for their compassionate care. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 29 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St., pastors from Springs Church will be officiating. Interment to follow at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 200-6 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB, R3L 0K6 or Springs Church, "725 Building Fund", 595 Lagimodiere Blvd., Winnipeg, MB, R2J 3X3.
