Offer Condolences or MemoryMARGARET ALISON "BECKY" (BUCKINGHAM) LAYCOCK (nee BECK) On Sunday October, 27, 2002, Becky Laycock passed away peacefully at the Carman Memorial Hospital. Born Margaret Alison Beck in Leicesterhire, England, on March 23, 1910, she came to Canada with her parents and sister Dorothy in 1913. Raised on their family farm near Patience Lake, SK, she attended Christ Church Anglican Church, West Patience Lake. She attended high school and business college in Saskatoon and was employed by MacKenzie Auto. In 1938 she married Gordon Buckingham an employee of Beatty Bros. They moved to Winnipeg in 1942 where they lived until Gordons death in 1953. Becky then took employment at the Manitoba Legislative Building, later at the Kobrinsky Clinic and the Manitoba Motor Vehicle Branch until 1973 when she married Ross Laycock. They resided in Carman, MB, and wintered in St. Petersburg, FL. Survived by son Jim (Mary), daughter Joan (Norval), Ross daughter Evelyn (Jim), son Earl (Jean), and son-in-law Don, 12 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, and a large extended family. Predeceased by her first husband Ross and Rosss daughter Barbara, and one sister Dorothy. Memorial gifts may be donated to the Ladies Health Auxiliary of the Carman Memorial Hospital or the Carman United Church.
