FREDERICK CHARLES McMULLEN Frederick Charles, born April 1, 1912, in Portage la Prairie, MB, at age 90, passed away peacefully after a short illness on October 27, 2002, at Royal Jubilee Hospital, Victoria, BC, son Donald; daughter-in-law Susan; grandchildren, Andrew and Jennifer McMullen and Dorothy and Bryan Appleton by his side. He was predeceased by his loving wife Marion on April 27, 2002; and all of his siblings, Clarence, Jean, Joseph, Hazel, Mae, John and Lawrence. Charles will be sadly missed but fondly remembered by his family, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Charles retired from the CNR in 1969. He will be remembered as a devoted, loving husband, caring for Marion over years of illness, a wonderful admired father, proud grandfather and lovable funny uncle. Thanks to Helping Hands, Wecare, Alpha Home Care, Chef On The Run, Drs. Dil, Daly, Biberdorf, Dewar, RJH Emergency, Recovery Room and 3 Royal Staff. Funeral service and reception will be held on Friday, November 1 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of First Memorial Funeral Services, 4725 Falaise Dr., Victoria, BC, officiated by Rev. Ron Johnstone. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of ones choice.
