RUPERT SUMNER It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our brother Rupert Sumner of Winnipeg, MB, formerly of Little Saskatchewan First Nation, on October 28, 2002, at the age of 53 years. Rupert will be always loved and remembered by his brothers, Colin (friend Carol), Allan, Lawrence and Darryl; his sisters, Marina, Sarah (friend William Beardy), Josephine and Karen (Greg) also many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Rupert was predeceased by his father and mother, John and Oliveena Sumner; three brothers, Russell, James and Stanley; grandparents, Colin and Mary Jane Sumner and Marie Desjarlais. Rupert had a good sense of humour and he loved to joke around and make others laugh. He enjoyed going to church, where he felt the presence of the Lord. The family would like to thank the staff at the Seven Oaks Hospital and Dr. Neil Lerner, also the Little Saskatchewan Chief and Council and the community for their help, love and care of our brother. A wake service will be held on Wednesday, October 30 at 7:30 p.m. at the Bread of Life Ministry Chapel, 1338 Main St., Winnipeg.
