LORNE RAY ANDERSON It is with deep sorrow we announce the passing of Lorne Ray Anderson of MacGregor. Beloved husband of Beverley, father of Vincent, brother, brother-in-law, uncle, great-uncle, and friend. Lorne left us on Saturday, October 26, 2002 at the Portage District General Hospital surrounded by his wife and family. Lorne passed away quietly and with great dignity after a two and a half year courageous battle with cancer. Lorne was born November 22, 1952 at Carberry, MB, son of George and Beth Anderson of Austin, MB. Brother of Frank (Yvonne) of Carberry, Darwin (Sandra) of Saskatoon, Lorraine (Robert Chant) of MacGregor, Eric (Lynda Dueck) of Austin, Lynne MacDonald (Alan Tait) of MacGregor, and Garth of Gladstone. Brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim MacDonald (Marie), Raymond (Enid), Donnie (Bev), Gordon of MacGregor, Jo-Ann MacDonald of Carman, Larry (Pat) of St. Adolphe, Carolynne Graham (Murray) of Camrose, Allan (Geraldine) of Austin, Jeanette May (Ed) of Swan River, and Edwin of Abbotsford. Lorne will also be sadly missed by his former coworkers and friends at Macs Rentals, especially Dallas Barber who has been a great support to Lorne and family. In accordance with Lornes wishes there will be no traditional funeral service. Interment and a remembrance of Lornes life will be held at a later date. Should friends so desire, in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the charity of ones choice or the MacGregor United Church building fund. Dont grieve for me for now Im Free I turned my back and left it all I could not stay another day To Laugh, To Love, To Work, To Play Tasks left undone must stay that way I found the peace Im Free from Pain If my parting has left a void, be strong And fill it with remembered joy A friendship shared, a Laugh, a Kiss Oh Yes, These things I too will Miss Be not burdened with times of sorrow I wish you all the sunshine of tomorrow. In my Life I have savoured much. Good friends, good times, a loved ones touch. Although my time was all too brief I now must leave, but I do need my pain relieved. Omega Funeral Home, Portage la Prairie in care of arrangements.
