GERTRUDE MARGARET LIVINGSTON Gertrude Margaret Livingston (nee Parsons), beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and aunt, passed away peacefully on Monday, October 28, 2002. Gert was born in Winnipeg on November 29, 1915. She was born into a wonderful, large family and cherished the memories of all the good and fun times with her parents, and her brothers and sisters. She married Gordon Livingston in Winnipeg on April 6, 1946 and spent many happy years with Gord and their daughters on Air Force bases throughout Canada. They returned to Winnipeg in 1965. Among her many jobs over the years, Gert especially enjoyed working at KMart in Westwood. After her retirement, she found her greatest pleasure in her family, her friends, her cats and dog, and gardening. Gert was predeceased by her husband Gordon; her parents, Emily and William Parsons; and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by her daughters, Gerry Hansen (Terry) and Beverley Winter; her grandchildren, Courtney, Lee, Leslie, Andrew (Genesis) and Denielle; and her great-grandsons, Chase and Tristan. She will also be greatly missed by her brother Edward Parsons and wife Olivia of Welland, ON; and many, many nieces and nephews. Cremation has taken place and a service celebrating Gertrudes life will be held at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. on Friday, November 1 at 3:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the staff of Extendicare/Tuxedo Villa for their kindness and gentle care of mom in her last days.
