Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANNA MELNYCZUK It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing of our most beloved Mama and Baba Anna Melnyczuk on Tuesday, October 29, 2002. Anna was born in the town of Milacz, Rivno in her cherished Ukraine on July 1, 1923 to Andrij and Anna Shwetz. Anna leaves to mourn her children, Marika, Ihor (Nina), Virlana (Gino) and grandchildren, Olenka, Taras, Aleksa; and countless friends. In Ukraine she leaves a grief stricken sister Maria Shkurska, brother Nykola and a large extended family. Anna was predeceased by her husband Theodor, her father, mother and brother Adam. Anna loved her family more than life itself. Her grandchildren knew no bounds to her love and they were in her heart and thoughts every day of her life. Annas greatest passions were to be a good mother, cooking and baking for family and friends, travelling, taking weekend family trips to the cottage and spending hours mushroom and blueberry picking. She especially loved her flower gardens and her roses. Anna was a member of Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, Institute Prosvita, Ukrainian Youth Association (SUM) and Womens League of National Ukrainian Organization. Anna was one of those special people who come into our lives once in a lifetime. Everyone who knew her loved her. She will be remembered for her deep religious convictions, her kind heart, love of life, her self-sacrifice for her familys well-being, her great sense of humour, her love of her homeland Ukraine, its history and culture, but especially for her strong will and fighting spirit which was not broken, not even in her darkest hours of suffering and pain due to her debilitating illness. She was a fighter whose courage and attitude will leave an indelible mark on us forever. We love you Mama and Baba. Rest with God. Prayers will be sung 7:00 p.m. Thursday, October 31, at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Friday, November 1, also at the cathedral, with Rev. M. Kouts and Deacon Yacyna officiating. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. SLAVA UKRAINI, HEROYAM SLAVA VICHNAYA PAMYAT KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
