Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryANTONINA TERESA PIATKOWSKI (nee MOHR) 1972 - 2002 On the morning of October 30, 2002, Antonina Piatkowski left her saddened fam-ily to join her angels. Antonina was born in Russia. During the Second World War, she met Stanislaw in Germany. They were married and soon after the war the couple relocated to Poland. While there, they celebrated the births of their two children, Sophie and Ben. In 1961, she and her family moved to Canada to join her mother and the rest of the family. After working various jobs, she settled down to do what she loved best, sewing and cooking for friends and family, and caring for her garden. She was predeceased by her husband Stanislaw and her brother Johnny. She leaves to mourn her passing, daughter Sophie and son Ben, and their spouses Frank and Connie, her brothers Jack and Eddie, her aunt Tina, her grandchildren Peter, Cynthia, Nicole, Harley, Tami and Garrett, and many nieces, nephews and friends. Babcia, you will always be in our hearts. Thank you to Laurie, Emily and Maryja for your excellent care and compassion. Prayers will be held on Friday, November 1 at 8:30 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday, November 2 at 10:30 a.m. at Holy Ghost Roman Catholic Church, 341 Selkirk Ave. with an Oblate Father officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Ghost Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 0S6.
