EDNA DOROTHY LAND (nee HARDING) It is with great sadness we announce the death of our beloved Mom, Edna Dorothy Land, Tuesday, October 29, 2002, at 78 years, of Winnipeg, MB, with her family constantly at her side and throughout her illness. She fought to stay for a long time but when she could stay no more, slipped into a peaceful sleep and continued onto her heavenly home. Mom was predeceased by her parents, Tom and Rose Harding; her husband Alfred T. Land in 1974, all her siblings, one daughter, two sons and one grandson. Edna is survived by her daughters, Doreen (Arnold), Pat (Len), Edna (Donald), Rose, Susan (Todd) sons, Dave, Allen, Bill (Barb), 22 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. In the early years, Mom had many stories about living in the country, picking potatoes for farmers and the big lunches they provided, dances at Crabby Steves, and roller coaster rides at Winnipeg Beach. Mom had a knack for making the best bannock around and liked cooking and doing things for her family. She was always happy to see you and it was never too late to put a pot of coffee on. Mom was our phone friend and never missed a day talking to us. Thats what we miss the most, not hearing her voice anymore. Mom spent many hours playing penny bingo at Freighthouse, Second Time Around Club. We would like to thank Health Sciences Centre D4 and Dialysis Unit for taking care of our Mom and Rev. S. Sharmin for the spiritual guidance and prayers. Private family service at St. Andrews Church, October 31. Interment in the church cemetery.
