Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORG HERGENROEDER It is with heartfelt sorrow we announce the passing of Georg on October 31, 2002. He is survived by his wife Regina. His children, Karl, Monika, Evelyn Sinclair (Michael) grandchildren, Jacinda and Andrew, Elsie Rathbone (Brent) grandchildren, Jerod and Keeli. He also leaves sister-in-law Veronika Komor, her daughter Helga and family. Brothers-in-law, Johann Bernhardt (Wilhelmiene) (in Germany), Anton Bernhardt (Johanna), George Bernhardt (Eva) along with their families. In Hungary he is survived by his sister Maria Erb (Ferencz), their three sons and his brothers two daughters. He was predeceased by his son George Jr. (1985). In Hungary by his parents, Georg and Veronika; his brother Jozsef and his wife Mariska. Georg was born in Szajk, Hungary on June 7, 1926. By 1948 he was living in Germany where he met Regina. They married in 1950 and after the birth of their first three children they immigrated to Winnipeg in 1955. Once in Canada their family was blessed with two more children. He earned his living as a drywaller. While still in Germany he learned to play the clarinet and saxophone. Music became his lifelong passion. He organized and played with numerous bands all of which he was proud to be a part of. The funeral service will be held on Friday, November 8 at Knysh Funeral Chapel. Viewing from 11:00 a.m. to 12 noon. Service at 12 noon with luncheon to follow immediately. Interment to follow. Donations may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation.
