JAMES HENRY "HARRY" BUNTING On November 1, 2002, at the Victoria Hospital, Harry Bunting, beloved husband of Gladys Bunting passed away peacefully. Harry was born in Winnipeg on December 16, 1916. He served during the Second World War with the R.C.A.F. from 1941 to 1945. His working career spanned 43 years with the C.P.R. Harry was an active member of Empire Masonic Lodge #127 A.F. and A.M. since 1947 receiving his 50 year jewel in 1997. Harry enjoyed many summers at Ingolf, ON, with his family. He was a life member of St. Thomas Anglican Church. Surviving are his two children, daughter Joan (Ross) Steer and their children, Robert (Jennifer) with great-granddaughter Camryn and Scott (Heather) son Doug (Shauna) and their children, Matthew and Ashleigh; sister Ada (Bruce) McGuff and numerous nieces and nephews. Harrys second wife Gladys family Jim (Ann) Jameson and family, Jill (Ted) Bowyer and daughter Leslee (Michael) and daughter Allison, Jay (Lynn) Jameson. Harry was predeceased by his first wife Edna May in 1969, and by his sisters, Gladys Clark and Winnifred McGuff. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, November 6 at 1:00 p.m. in St. Thomas Anglican Church, 1567 William Ave. with the Rev. Robin Mather officiating. Following a reception in the parish hall, interment will take place at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his three grandsons, Robert Steer, Scott Steer, and Matthew Bunting and his nephews, Robert Tinker, David Knox, and Jim Knox. A very special thank you is extended to all staff on the 5th floor at the Victoria Hospital for their excellent care and support.
