TOMAS DeGUZMAN RETUMALTA March 6, 1926 - November 2, 2002 Peacefully on Saturday, November 2, 2002, at approximately 11:30 p.m., our beloved father Tomas DeGuzman Retumalta passed away in his sleep at the Seven Oaks General Hospital after suffering a stroke. Left to cherish his memory are his beloved wife Librada (nee Garganta) children, Ofelia Seriosa (Danny), Sally Pascua (Fedick), Ted (Myrna Sawit) Noel (Marcel Bulaong) and grandchildren, Mary Grace Pascua, Catherine Retumalta, Darnell Retumalta, Mary Joyce Retumalta and Nathaniel Retumalta. Tom also leaves behind his only sister Asuncion Flores who resides in the Philippines; as well as his only cousin Rudy DeGuzman (Rose) and their daughter Rachelle, of Toronto, ON, Canada; and numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and many family friends. Lamay and prayer vigils will be held on Wednesday, November 6 and Thursday, November 7 from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. (midnight) at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, November 8 at 9:30 a.m. at St. Josephs Roman Catholic Church, Mountain Avenue and Andrews Street, with Rev. Fr. Diosdado Parrenas presiding. Interment will take place at a later date in the Philippines.
