ROY MURRAY DOERKSEN 1930 - 2002 On Saturday morning November 2, 2002, Roy Doerksen, of Niverville, peacefully went to be with the Lord at the age of 72, following a courageous battle with cancer. Roy was born on August 24, 1930 in Niverville, MB. He spent his entire life in southern Manitoba. He was predeceased by his first wife Bernice. He leaves to mourn his family: his wife Adina; three daughters; Shirley of Winnipeg, Evelyn (Marty) Mittelstadt and grandchildren, Rachel, Sarah and Andrew of Springfield, MO, and Lori (Rick) Angenent of Winnipeg. Viewing will be held at Birchwood Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, November 5 at 7:00 p.m., with devotional at 7:30 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, November 6, 2:00 p.m. at Fourth Avenue Bible Church, 62 4th Ave. S., Niverville, MB, with Pastors Layton Friesen and Cameron McKenzie of Fort Garry EMC officiating. Interment will follow at the Oak Grove Cemetery. In Roys memory, donations may be made to Canadian Foodgrains Bank, 400 - 280 Smith St., Box 767, Winnipeg, MB, R3C 2L4.
