JOHN HENRY EPP John H. Epp passed away peacefully at the Carman Memorial Hospital on Sunday, November 3, 2002, at the age of 96. Mr. Epp was born in the village of Rosenthal, Russia. He was the oldest of ten children; eight boys and two girls; the children of Henry and Helen Epp. They immigrated to Canada in 1925. While helping with the harvest in Saskatchewan he met Annie Langeman. They were married in 1929. They moved to Elm Creek, MB and farmed there until 1974. Following retirement they moved to Carman, MB Mr. Epp was predeceased by his wife in 1998; and by children, Helen and Ben; and daughter-in-law Marina; also one sister and three brothers. Left to mourn his passing are children, Anne (Ed) Klassen, John (Jackie) Epp, Frieda (George) Dyck, Helga, Vern (Paulette) Epp; son in-law Henry Bestvater; daughter-in-law Ali Epp; also 19 grandchidren; 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at the Carman Mennonite Church, November 6 at 2.30 p.m., with Pastor Bob Pauls officiating. Interment will take place in the Greenwood Cemetery, Carman. If friends so desire donations in the memory of Mr. Epp can be made to the MCC Canadian Food Grains Bank. Doyles Funeral Chapel of Carman in care of arrangements.
