ALMA M. D. LAVALLEE With great sadness we announce the passing of our dear mother. Delima Alma, beloved wife of Leon Lavallee, married for 60 years, passed away at the age of 83 at the Portage District General Hospital on November 3, 2002 after a short illness. Funeral service will be held at the St. Ambroise Roman Catholic Church on Thursday, November 7 at 2:00 p.m., with Rev. Fr. Wayne Morrissey officiating. Interment will follow in the family plot at the Parish Church Yard Cemetery. Alma is survived by her son Melvin and daughter-in-law Rose; and her two grandchildren, Darrin and friend Darlene, Diane and her husband to be Harry Ten-Brink and son Brock. She was predeceased by her four sisters, Alvina, Agnes Arbuckle, Dora and Alice; and four brothers, Leo, Emile, Archie and Nelson. She is survived by her only brother Willie; and two sisters, Evelyn Ducharme (Wallace) of St. Ambroise and Edna (Gordon) Cail of Portage la Prairie; several sisters-in-law, brothers-in-law, numerous nieces and nephews, cousins and a host of friends. She will be sadly missed by her two pet dogs, Ben and Daisey. Friends may call at the church for visitation and prayers prior to the funeral service.
