RITA ELIZABETH TOURAND (nee GOULET) August 2, 1922 - November 2, 2002 It is with deep sadness that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, sister and grandmother Rita Elizabeth Tourand (Goulet) on Saturday, November 2, 2002 at St. Boniface Hospital. Rita was predeceased by her parents, Emile and Emma; son Christopher; brother Edward; and sisters, Adeline, Agathe and Noela. She leaves to mourn, her children, Diane, Walter (Corrine), Monica (Michael) sisters, Jean and Freda; as well as 12 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and a new great-grandchild arriving this spring; numerous nephews; nieces; and cousins. Rita spent many happy years working at Greb Shoes, Bonner and Bemious and Boeing of Canada. Rita was a bundle of energy and never let the challenges of everyday life get her down. Her quick wit and contagious laughter brought a smile to many. Her love of children and compassion for animals, especially her longtime friend "Bear" the cat, will be forever missed. We would like to thank the staff at Seven Oaks Hospital, St. Boniface Hospital and the Fire and Ambulance service for their kind and compassionate care of our Rita. Funeral service will be held on Friday, November 8 at 2:00 p.m. in the Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Green Acres Lane. Viewing will be held one-half hour before service. In lieu of flowers, as an expression of sympathy, memorial donations may be made in Ritas memory to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 6 Donald St., Suite 200, R3L 0K6 GREEN ACRES FUNERAL CHAPEL 222-3241
