Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryEVELYN PEARL FOSTER Peacefully, on Monday, November 4, 2002, at Concordia Hospital in her 92nd year. Beloved wife for 55 years of Cecil (predeceased). Loving mother of Linda and husband Wayne Gibson, Grant and wife Carol and Glen. Cherished grandma of Ron and wife Lorrie, Tracey, Shannon, Kelly, Kyle, Julie, Trevor and Lauren; and great-grandma of Amanda and Kellen. Evelyn will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her family, her many nieces, nephews and dear friends. Evelyn was born in Lena, MB on May 12, 1911 and grew up there on the family farm with her brother Gordon. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts from Wesley College, Winnipeg in 1935. She was a teacher in one-room schoolhouses in Deepdale, Endcliffe and Mather, MB until 1943, where she taught grades one through 12. Although dedicated, she gladly left her career to become a devoted wife and mother. Family and friends were always first and foremost in Evelyns life. A heartfelt thank you is extended to family and friends for their loving support and to the doctors and staff of Concordia Hospital for their professional and compassionate care. A memorial service will be held at Immanuel United Church, 755 Golspie St. (at Kimberley Avenue), East Kildonan on Saturday, November 9, at 11:00 a.m. Private family interment will be held prior to service at Glen Eden Memorial Gardens, West St. Paul. In Evelyns memory, donations to the Immanuel United Church or the Canadian Diabetes Association would be appreciated by her family.
