SHIZUE MATSUO KATO Peacefully on Wednesday, November 6, 2002, our mother passed away at Tuxedo Villa at the age of 94 years. She is survived by four children, Fred (Lee), Midori (Art), Sam (Clare) and Bob (Hilda) 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mom was born in Kumamoto, Japan and came to British Columbia as a bride in 1925 relocating to Manitoba in 1942. She was an active member of Hoyukai at the Buddhist Church. Many thanks to Dr. Burke and staff at Station One for their loving care and compassion. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 9 at the Manitoba Buddhist Church, 825 Winnipeg Ave., with Sensei Fredrich Ulrich officiating.
