JULIA KORCHYNSKI February 11, 1918 - November 6, 2002 Peacefully, with her daughters by her side, Mom went to join her beloved husband Bill to be together on their 68th Wedding Anniversary (Sunday, November 10, 2002). Julia was born in Arborg, MB, the eldest of seven children of Tom and Katie Sarna. Mom worked hard to raise her six children and also worked many years in various sewing factories in Winnipeg. Julia is survived by her daughters, Mary (Cecil) Register, Bernice (Ray) Mots, Doreen (Dave) Sykes) sons, Ronald (Mabel) and Garry (Leslie) many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary (Danny) Joss, Rosie and Vicki (Alfie) Leonard) sister-in-law Joyce Sarna and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Bill; son Dave; grandson Jim Register; great-grandsons, Chris Hutchinson, Brandon and Tanner Mots; sisters, Ann and Frances; and brother Philip. The family would like to extend a very special thanks to Dr. E. Braun and the wonderful nursing staff of Seven Oaks Hospital, 5U3, who shared in the wonderful care given to our mom and us. Prayers will be held on Friday, November 8 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 9 at 11:00 a.m. also at the Chapel, with Rev. Fr. Gary Killen officiating. Interment will follow in Holy Family Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Bob and Allan Sykes, David Korchynski, Willie Korchynski, Tony Mots and Darren Klassen.
