ERNEST W. NEMISH Born in Winnipeg on November 3, 1913, passed away suddenly on November 5, 2002. For 62 years he was the devoted husband to Geni and will be sadly missed by sons, Robert (Wendy) and Bryan (Faith) and daughter Wendy (Brock) as well as his brother Herb (Rita) sister Marjorie; and sister-in-law Aline. He was predeceased by brother Eugene in 2001. He also leaves to mourn 10 grandchildren, five great-grand-children and many nieces and nephews. Ernie was the happiest when surrounded by his family who recently gathered to celebrate his 89th birthday and where his musical talent as an accomplished pianist was joyfully displayed and recorded. For many years he enjoyed his summer vacations at the family cottage in Kenora, ON where he had the opportunity to hone his love of nature. He was a lifelong contributing member of Trinity Lutheran Church where he served on council for more than 50 years and was for many years the organist and choir director. His devotion to his students as a teacher and principal for more than 38 years began in Balmoral. He then taught in several Winnipeg schools, including Norquay, Strathcona, Isbister, and Isaac Brock where he earned his students unwavering respect and admiration. He was a man of high moral conduct and unquestionable integrity with an unerring sense of what is right and proper. Funeral service to be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 265 Flora Ave., Saturday, November 9 at 11:00 a.m. Viewing at the church from 10:30 a.m. until time of service. NEIL BARDAL INC. 949-2200
