GERALDINE (GERRY) MUZYKA (nee BORODEY) It is with great sadness that after a lengthy illness of cancer, we announce the passing of Gerry Muzyka, aged 55, on November 7, 2002 at the Riverview Health Centre. Gerry will be lovingly remembered by her husband and companion of 36 years, Harry; her children, Corey, Jason and Marcy; brother Nicholas (Hazel) nephew Scott; mother-in-law Dora. A few exceptional friends, Gerald and Sandra Oganoski, Marion Mahara and Ron Newman. She was predeceased by her parents, Nick and Annette Borodey and her brother Elmer. Gerry was born and raised in Birds Hill, MB on September 25, 1947. Gerry was employed by Canada Safeway for 19 years. Gerry and her family owned and operated a family business, "Lankys" during the summer months in Grand Beach for 15 years. Gerry loved baking and preparing family dinners, spending time in her flower garden, shopping, playing Bingo and cards till all hours of the night. Gerry was a special individual, who had a warm, kind and loving heart. Gerry will be missed by her family and all that knew her. The family would like to send a heartfelt thank you to all the staff of the Palliative Care, Ward E3 at the Riverview Health Centre. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 16 at 10:00 a.m. in the chapel of Glen Eden Funeral Home. Interment in Serenity Chapel, Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
