BERYL STEFANOWICH It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Beryl on November 8, 2002. Left to cherish her memory is her beloved companion Sam Cantafio, her loving daughters, Candace Shepit (Brian), Carla Stefansson (Howard Gurevich), Cara Lea Oswald (Scott), Roma Stefanowich, and Julie Frederik (Tommy) son John (Chris), 20 grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. She will also be remembered by her childrens father George Stefanowich, mother-in-law Teena Stefanowich (Matka), sister-in-law Olga Russel (Jim), brother-in-law Jim Honke and family, and sister-in-law Dorothy Figler and family. Beryl was predeceased by her mother Julie Figler, her beloved sister Kathy and brother Ted. She will be lovingly remembered and missed by Sams family, daughters, Monida Prica (Tom), Loretta Korenko, son Frank (Janice), Sams grandchildren, Sams sisters, Lucy Mottola, Kay Sayers, brothers, Joe, Till, Tony, and Peter, and their families. Beryl was employed at Bethania Personal Care Home as a health care worker for 20 years. She was a dedicated and compassionate employee and was greatly admired by residents and co-workers. She will be fondly remembered by her many great friends from Bethania. Her true joy in life was love for her family. Her caring and devotion to her children was boundless. Beryl was truly a remarkable, beautiful, compassionate human being. She was always there for others, willing to help regardless of the occasion or situation. During her life Beryl had many interests but mostly she cherished simple pleasures. She had a great love for nature and the outdoors. She enjoyed many years with Sam at Spruce Sands Trailer Resort sharing many happy memorable times with family and friends. Beryl was truly loved by her family and friends and all who had the good fortune to know her. She touched the hearts of all who knew her and will leave a deep void in their lives. To the end Beryl demonstrated her strength of character, determination, dignity and honesty in every facet of life. The family and Sam wish to express their heartfelt gratitude to the many friends and the Palliative Home Care and Riverview Health Centre staff for their support, caring, and compassion during Beryls illness. Until we are all together again Berylie, Mom, Nanny, Dearest Friend, REST IN PEACE. Youve earned it and deserve to. We will always love you. We will always cherish your memory. We will always miss you. Service of Remembrance will be held on Saturday, November 16 at 11:00 a.m. in Green Acres Funeral Chapel, Hwy. #1 East at Green Acres Lane.
