LEON VERMETTE February 1, 1938 - November 7, 2002 On Thursday, November 7, 2002, Leon Vermette passed away at Health Sciences Centre. Leon will be lovingly remembered by his wife Lila; daughters, Janis and Jolie (Ross) and brother Andy; as well as numerous family, friends and his "brother" Rick. Leon was predeceased by his son Camile, brother Roland; as well as his parents, Emma and Joseph. Leon was an active member of MB Bowling Association and the A. Active Pool League which he enjoyed immensely. He developed long-term friendships with co-workers from Crown Cork and Seal. Visitation will be held from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 13 at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 445 Lagimodiere Blvd. (south of the Royal Canadian Mint). Funeral service will be at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Fr. Ed Bodin officiating. A private family interment will take place at a later date. Special thanks to all staff on GD 6 at Health Sciences Centre for all their care and support.
