TED ROBERTS Peacefully, after a lengthy illness, Richard Edward (Ted) Roberts passed away on Friday, November 1, 2002 at the Grace General Hospital. Ted is survived by his wife Clarissa of 32 years of marriage, and his daughters, Tara Dawn and Rana Dyan; his father William A.; and sister Penny (Joan) Roberts; brothers-in-law, Wayne and Mervin Keith; and his nephew Ryan Keith. He will be greatly missed by his special friend Fraggle the cat. He was also predeceased by his mother Emma E. Roberts. He was also predeceased by his mother and father-in-law Betty and Clarence Keith. On November 22, 1946, Ted was born at the Grace General Hospital in Winnipeg to William A. and Emma E. Roberts. First for Majors Auto, then as co-owner of Majors Auto (1974) and later as a contract agent for Texaco and Esso. Due to his disabilities, Ted retired in 1995. After his retirement, he enjoyed chauffeuring his family and friends to their various appointments. In compliance with Teds wishes, a private family service will take place at a later date. Special thanks to all the doctors, nurses, and health care workers who gave him such excellent care at the Health Sciences Centre, the Rehabilitation Hospital, St. Boniface Hospital, and the Grace General Hospital. Heartfelt thanks are given to the people who supported Ted and his family throughout the years of his illness, Marc Mironuk (whom Ted thought of as a son), Alan Archibald (his longtime friend), Bill Robinson, Vic and Marlynn Lundy, Will and Linda Shipman, Gerry and Kay ONeill, and other relatives and friends too numerous to mention. Flowers are graciously declined. Donations may be sent to the Society for Manitobans with Disabilities, 825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB, R3A 1M5, or to a charity of ones choice.
