JAMES RUSSELL CLYDE 1915 - 2002 Peacefully, on Sunday, November 10, Russell Clyde passed away at Deer Lodge Centre at the age of 87 years. He was predeceased by his wife Jean in 1984. He leaves to mourn his passing his children, Ervin (Bernice) and Marilyn (Barry). He is also survived by five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He will also be sadly missed by his brother Gordon and sister Ann. Russell was born in Unity, SK in 1915. He moved to Manitoba at a young age, settling on the family farm near Teulon. Here he farmed for many years until his retirement in 1990. He and Jean worked hard to provide a good life for their family. Russell enjoyed socializing with friends and neighbours and playing his fiddle. He had a great love of wildlife, especially the various species of birds that came into the yard. A special thank you to the wonderful staff on the 4th floor West of Deer Lodge who took such good care of our dad during his stay there over the past several months. A private family service will take place. Interment will be held on Thursday, November 14 at 2:00 p.m. in the St. Georges Anglican Churchyard Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation may be made to a charity on Russells behalf. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk, in care of arrangements.
