ALICE MAY PARK Peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2002 with her family by her side in the Stonewall Hospital, at the age of 79, May passed away. May is survived by her children, Doris Park, George (Maureen) Park, Margaret (Ken) Porteous, Larry (Wilma) Park, Roy (Marion) Park. Her brothers and sisters, Lil Devisscher, Jim (Donna) Riding, Johnny (Albina) Riding, George (Emily) Riding, MaryAnn (Glen) Rothwell. Brothers-in-law, Harold (Jane) Park, Tom Nixon, Lil Bowers (cousin) 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, Bert and Alice Riding; husband George Henry (Harry) Park; brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Lois Riding; brothers-in-law, Walter Park, Bill Park, Jack Park, Duke Devisscher; and sister-in-law Margaret Nixon. May was born on October 26, 1923 in Eriksdale, MB, moved to Lake Francis in 1937. Married Harry Park in 1948 and lived her life in Lake Francis where she raised her family. Upon retirement Harry and May moved to the Oak Park Lodge in Woodlands until her passing. She was involved in the Lake Francis W.I. and a member of the Woodlands Legion Auxiliary. Her greatest pleasure was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. A prayer service will be held on Friday, November 15 at 7:00 p.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. A funeral service will be held on Saturday, November 16 at 11:00 a.m. at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. Rev. John Stennett will officiate with interment to follow at Lake Francis Cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons, Jason Porteous, Kurt Porteous, Kevin Porteous, Donald Park, Cory Park, Kyle Park. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
