Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLILLIAN GREY BARKER Peacefully on Monday, November 11, 2002, Lillian Barker passed away at Seven Oaks Hospital, on her 93rd birthday. Lillian was predeceased by her beloved husband Bert in 1956; as well as her siblings, George Johnston, Gladys Arnold, Isobel Fellowes, Muriel Campbell and Evelyn Dallas. She will be lovingly remembered by her two sisters, Adeline Dawson and Mildred Beggs (Jack). She will also be sadly missed by her many nieces and nephews. Lillian was born in Guelph, ON on November 11, 1909. She enjoyed many happy days growing up with her seven siblings. In her youth, she enjoyed sporting activities and was an enthusiastic member of a womens softball team. In 1943, she married Bert Barker and was a very loving and devoted wife. Always a hard worker, she enjoyed her many years of employment at the Hudson Bay Company as the Manager of the Hosiery Department. Following her retirement in 1974, she remained active by bowling, swimming and travelling. She took great pleasure visiting relatives in various parts of Canada and particularly enjoyed her trips to Minneapolis, Europe, and Hawaii. Her independent nature enabled her to live on her own until 1993 when she became a resident of Maples Personal Care Home. She eagerly participated in the resident activities and could always be found in her special spot in the front lobby. Special thanks is extended to the home for the care she received. Thanks also to the staff of Seven Oaks Hospital, 5th Floor, Units 1 and 3. Lillian will always be remembered as a loving, caring sister, aunt and friend. She was always ready to help her family and friends whenever asked. She will be fondly remembered as a very special aunt. There will be a private family interment at Elmwood Cemetery. Flowers are gratefully declined. If friends so desire, donations may be made to a charity of choice. Rest in Peace, Auntie Lil! We Love You and Will Miss You CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
