RICHARD HAROLD LITTLE Peacefully, on Tuesday, November 12, 2002, Richard Harold Little passed away at the Grace General Hospital at the age of 83 years. He is lovingly remembered by his wife Eileen, of 58 years of marriage; sons, Rod (Carol), Curtis (Mary), Dannie (Vivian) and daughter Shannon (Jim). He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren, Liz, Dana, Jenny, Derek, Jordan, Jerra, Robin, Lauren, Richard and Cassidy. Also left to mourn are his brothers, Ray (Dorothy), Harvey (Louise) sisters, Marion and Gladys, as well as many nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren and close relatives, Marjorie and Dave Rock. Dad was born in Winnipeg on May 25, 1919. He was a Second World War veteran who flew a Spitfire overseas and was honoured with several medals. He had a very successful career as Branch Manager for Empire Life Group. Mom and Dad enjoyed their winter travels, but especially looked forward to spending their summers at their true paradise, Victoria Beach, where great times we will always treasure. Dad was a real sports enthusiast, coaching baseball and playing golf, curling and volleyball. He was also very active with his bridge clubs. Richards funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18 at 9:30 a.m. in St. Bedes Anglican Church, 99 Turner Ave. with Rev. Jamie Howison officiating. Our family would like to thank the staff at the Grace Hospital, 5th floor, for their care and compassion. "Dad, you truly were a pillar of strength for our family."
