FLORA ROSE YOUNG (nee NICHOLLS) It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear wife, mother, sister and nana, Flora, on November 11, 2002 after a long and very courageous battle with cancer. Mom was predeceased by her father Stanley Nicholls; brother Reggie Nicholls; mother Ethel Nicholls; and sisters, Kay Atkins and Gerry Nicholls. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Doug of 50 years; her children Karen (Len), Patty (Jim), Susan (Rheal) and Heather (Ken). Suffering their greatest loss are her grandchildren, Bobbi (Marc), Lonnie (Crystal), Desiree (David), Jordan, Cole and Shannon. Sharing our grief are her sisters, Joan and Jessie (Leo). She also leaves numerous and much loved nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held for family and friends on Wednesday, November 13 in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel at 1858 Portage Ave. from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 14 also in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel at 2:00 p.m. Interment will follow at Brookside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Len Williams, Jim Clements, Rheal Normandeau, Ken Creasy, Lonnie Farr and Marc Gendreau. Honorary pallbearers are Jordan Thompson, Cole Creasy and David Hudson. The family wishes to express their deepest gratitude to Dr. Krepart and his team for their honesty, knowledge and professionalism. Mom found strength and courage in their wisdom.
