ETHELYN (ADELE) McARTHUR (nee STRONG) 1911 - 2002 Adele passed away peacefully on Saturday, November 9, 2002 at the Seven Oaks Hospital. She was predeceased by her husband Joe; brothers, Allan and Elmer; an infant sister Florence; and brother-in-law John Bollenbach. She leaves to mourn her passing and to cherish her memory her daughter Alma (Wayne) Thompson; granddaughter Kimberley (John) Burns; grandson Brad Thompson (Diane) and three great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brothers and sisters, Edward (Evelyn) Strong, Verna Bollenbach, Gwen (Keith) MacMillan and Bruce (Elizabeth) Strong and their families; as well as many friends. Adele was born in Argyle, MB on September 30, 1911. She spent many years in Gladstone, MB and was involved in the community. She moved to Winnipeg shortly after her husband Joe passed away in 1967, and continued working as a caregiver until her retirement. Adele will be remembered for the love and pride she had in her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. The family would like to express their sincere thanks to the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg for all their compassionate care. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of your choice. A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 15 at 10:00 a.m. at the Middlechurch Home of Winnipeg, 280 Balderstone Rd. Interment to follow in Gladstone, MB.
