Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryROBERT (BOB) FOREST It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Bob on Remembrance Day, November 11, 2002 at the Palliative Care Unit of the Grey Nuns Hospital, Edmonton, after a courageous battle with cancer. Bob will be lovingly remembered by Cathy (Gangl) his wife of 45 years, his children, Rob (Glenda) of Lethbridge, Jeffrey, Matthew, James (Dawn), and Marlene (Alf) Wallace, all of Edmonton; his grandchildren, his brothers, Rocky (Jean) of Victoria and Gabe (Marcelle) of Winnipeg; his sisters-in-law, Rita, Alphie, Louise, and Anita; numerous nieces and nephews and many special friends. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Gabriel and Elise; his sisters, Anna Dufault and Cecile Pickup; and his brothers, Larry, Gerry, Jean-Paul and Georges. Bob was born on October 12, 1930 in La Salle, MB and moved to Edmonton in 1951 where he worked in construction with his brother Rocky prior to taking over his brother Jean-Pauls company, Atlas Demolition. Bob was an active sports enthusiast playing baseball and hockey in Oak Bluff for many years. He coached Little League Baseball and served as a Cub Scout Leader. Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing, and happy times at the cottage with family and friends. His grandchildren always brought him special joy. Bobs generosity, pleasant personality, and incredible sense of humour were a delight to all who knew him. The family is deeply grateful to all of their friends who have shown such love and support throughout this difficult time and are most appreciative of the tender care and attention received from the nursing and medical staff at the Grey Nuns Hospital. Mass of Christian Burial to be held at Assumption Church on November 15 at 10:00 a.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Palliative Care Units at the Grey Nuns Hospital, 11111 Jasper Ave., Edmonton, AB, T5K 0L4.
