LILY ISABEL REMPLE It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, sister and aunt, Lily Isabel Remple (nee Dee), on Sunday, November 10, 2002 at the Riverview Health Centre. Lil was born to William and Jane Dee on January 21, 1916 in Badger, MB. She was predeceased by her parents; husband Abe in 1969; and her sisters, Nancy, Ada, May; and brother Bob. Mom will be lovingly remembered by her daughter Dale (Russ) McLelland; son Warren (Janice) Remple; grandson Cameron (Traci) McLelland; granddaughters, Amber and Courtney McLelland. Also left to mourn are her sister Bella, sister-in-law Louise, and numerous nieces and nephews. Lil attended school in Badger prior to moving to Winnipeg to complete high school and obtained her teaching credentials at Normal School. Upon graduation she taught at various country schools and in Winnipeg at General Byng until her retirement in 1981. Mom was described by many as a real lady with a determination and inner strength that sustained her throughout her life and was present to the very end. She was kind, considerate and generous with a quick wit and keen sense of humour. Her positive attitude was an inspiration to all. We are forever grateful to her sister Bella for her constant and loving companionship, and the Murner families and spouses whose visits delighted and meant so much to Mom. Special thanks to Dr. Mulder and the compassionate, dedicated staff of 3E at Riverview whose extraordinary care and concern for both Mom and us made the journey more bearable. Memorial service will be held on Monday, November 18 at 12:30 p.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Moms memory to Riverview Health Centre, Palliative Care Unit, 1 Morley Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3L 2P4 or the charity of your choice.
