EDGAR "ED" BEAMAN Edgar (Ed) Beaman passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 14, 2002 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Ed was born on October 14, 1914 in Pineridge, MB and lived most of his life in Birds Hill later moving to Winnipeg. Leaving home at the age of 14 he worked as a farm hand in Brandon, MB, to help support his family. Later he was employed by Building Products and Coal Co. where he worked for many years .He was then employed as a concrete inspector by I.M.C. the Potash Mines in Esterhazy SK, prior to retiring. Ed is survived by his loving daughters, Shirley (Ray) Binda, Joyce DeVisser and families. Sister Marj Ryan, nieces and nephews, ten grand-children, seven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild. He was predeceased by wife Eve; daughter Doreen; his parents; sister Beryl; and brother George; his grandson Raymond Jr.; and son-in-law Ken DeVisser. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 9Z9. Funeral service will be held on Monday, November 18 at 11:00 a.m. in the Leatherdale Gardiner Funeral Chapel, 232 Kennedy St., with The Rev. Peter Cain officiating. Viewing will be held prior to service. Interment will follow in Sunnyside Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Wayne, Darrell, Dagan, and Logan Binda, Scott, Darren, Jason, and Justin DeVisser. A sincere thank you to the nursing staff and caregivers of Seven Oaks Hospital, 3 A Unit 10-11-12 for all of your extra special heart warming care. May God bless each of you.
