JULIE ELIZABETH MARIE CHAMPAGNE With courage, dignity and at peace surrounded by her loving family, Julie passed away November 13, 2002 in the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre. Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband of 42 years, Rudy. She will be lovingly remembered and sadly missed by her children, Carol (Dan) Seitz, Russell (Michelle), Kathy (Jim) Kamann and Rhonda (Kent) Rasmussen; her grandchildren, Jordan and Jared Seitz, Nichole and Drew Kamann and Christopher and Colton Rasmussen. She was predeceased by her father Felix Trudeau; her mother Marie Anne; brothers, Ted, Rosaire, Lionel and Roger; and her sister Martine Chicoine. She is survived by her brothers, Jean-Paul, Norbert and Michel; sisters, Marielle Laberge and Yolande Forest; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Julie was born May 7, 1939 in St. Boniface, MB. Through the years her passion was sewing, travelling and taking care of her family. Her life was truly devoted to her husband, children and grandchildren, brother Norm and her dog Wiser. Her love for her family gave Julie the strength to survive her battle with cancer for the last 18 years. She gave strength to other cancer victims to be strong and courageous by visiting and giving hope. Her strengths came from her strong faith in God. It broke our hearts to lose you But you did not go alone, For part of us went with you The day God called you home. Though your smile is gone forever, And your hand we cannot touch, We will never lose the memory Of one we loved so much. Thanks for the loving years you gave us, The happy times we shared, We all pray that when you left us, You knew how much we cared. Our family chain is broken And nothing seems the same, But as God calls us one by one, the chain will link again. We love you, sweet angel Julie, Mom, Gramma and friend. You will remain in our cherished memories and our hearts. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Tom Baker Cancer Centre, 1331 - 29th Street N.W., Calgary, AB T2N 4N2. Sincere thanks to Dr. Surgenor and staff at the Ponoka Hospital and Care Centre for their loving care and compassion. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, November 18 at 2:00 p.m. at St. Augustines Catholic Church, 5113 - 52nd Avenue, Ponoka, with Fr. Mitchell Fidyka presiding.
