EDITH CHASE (EDEE) It is with deep sadness we announce the passing of our mother Edee Chase on November 9, 2002 at the age of 55 after a brief illness at the Cold Lake Hospital. She is lovingly remembered by her longtime partner Neil Imrie, of Cold Lake, AB; and her three children, Owen (Loretta), Trevor (Monica), Tanya (Thomas Kidd) and her six grandchildren, Jeremy, Randi, Dustin, Dillon, Sydney, Thomas, all of Winnipeg. She is survived by her brothers, Ron Clark of Cold Lake and Doug (Carrie) Clark of Merit, BC along with many friends and relatives. She was predeceased by her mother and farther, Mary and Charlie Clark; and her brothers, Rick and David; and sister Lorraine. As she wished, there will be no funeral service. Edee was cremated and will rest peacefully in Winnipeg close to her children. A private internment will be held at a later date. Edee was born in Cold Lake. As a young woman she moved to Ashern, MB where she met her first husband Arthur Chase. Art and Edee started their family and lived in Winnipeg for a brief time before moving to Gillam, MB. They remained in Gillam for many years, working and raising their family. Edee returned to Winnipeg following her divorce where she remained for a short time before she returned to Cold Lake to care for her mother. During this time in Cold Lake she met her longtime friend and partner Neil. Everywhere Edee lived she developed strong and lasting friendships as a result of her kindness, rich sense of humour, her contagious laughter and enjoyment of life and people. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her. Our Mom was a courageous person and very hard worker who never expected anything in return. She was the strongest person we will ever know and we will miss her greatly. She will live forever in our memories and thoughts. The family extends a special thank you to the nursing staff of the Cold Lake Hospital for their outstanding service and loving care of our mother.
