MARY HLADY (TYMOSZYK) Peacefully, after a lengthy illness on Thursday, November 14, 2002 at the Holy Family Nursing Home, Mary Hlady, beloved wife of the late Michael Hlady, passed away at the age of 85. She is survived by her two daughters, Joyce Krowchuk (Peter), and Valerie Shumila (Elmer) three sons, Ronald (Valerie), John, and Ben (Pat) eight grandchildren, Gerald, Jennifer, Kim, Greg, Debbie, Tracey, Brent and Darren; four great-grandchildren, Daniel, David, Kayla and Tyler; and her sister Diana Readinger in Williamstown, PA; as well as many nieces and nephews. Upon moving to Beausejour in 1970, Mom became an avid bowler and continued to participate in senior leagues, lawn bowling, senior Olympics and various senior activities after her move to Winnipeg in 1984. Prior to the onset of her illness, Mom could always be found watching her favourite soap operas and doing her beautiful needlework, which we all cherish. Prayers will be said on Monday, November 18 at 7:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Tuesday, November 19 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Ghost Ukrainian Catholic Church, Beausejour, MB with Rev. Fr. I. Demkiv officiating. Interment to follow in the Ukrainian Catholic Cemetery, Beausejour. The family wishes to thank the staff at Holy Family Nursing Home, St. Pauls Unit, for all their excellent care, support and compassion during her stay. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Society of Manitoba, Unit 10, 120 Donald St., Winnipeg, R3C 4G2 or the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102-310 Broadway, Winnipeg, R3C 0S6. Alzheimers Prayer Dear Lord, please grant my visitors tolerance for my confusion, forgiveness for my irrationality and the strength to walk with me in the mist of memory my world has become. Please help them take my hand and stay awhile even though I seem unaware of their presence. Help them to know how their strength and loving care will drift slowly into the days to come just when I need it most. Let them know when I dont recognize them that I will...I will...keep their hearts free of sorrow for me... for my sorrow, when it comes, only lasts a moment. And finally God, please let them know how very much their visits mean, how even through this relentless mystery, I can feel their love. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
