Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryCELA SOPIWNYK Quietly and peace-fully on Saturday morning, November 16, 2002 at the Vita Hospital the angels came and took Cela home to be with Jesus. Cela was born on February 22, 1933 at the McDonald homestead in St. Andrews, MB and was one of 10 children. Our precious Cela will be lovingly remembered and survived by her husband Nick of 45 years; three sisters, Mildred, Laura, Edna; numerous brother-in-laws, sister-in-laws, nieces, nephews, godchildren and countless friends. Cela was predeceased by her parents, four brothers, two sisters, three brother-in-laws and one niece. She was employed by Eatons in Winnipeg for many years, later giving up her job and supporting Nick with love, strength and encouragement in his journey through his career in Winnipeg, Cache Creek and Steep Rock and then retiring at Vita. Her passions were animals, nature, flowers, music, reading, Free Press Crosswords and CJOB. She was a people person and her warm friendly conversations and mannerism won her many friends wherever she went, thus creating endless flow of friends and acquaintances. Cela will forever be remembered as someone with a kind, compassionate and generous heart and always willing to help anyone in need. Celas love of children is evident in her personal selection of active pallbearers which are her nieces and nephews; Donna Johnson, Elsie Picklyk, Gary Krivak, Keith Larter, John Sopiwnyk and Ken McDonald. Honourary pallbearers are Peter Andreychuk and Louis Dutchak. Prayers are Tuesday, November 19, 2002 at 7:30 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel in Steinbach.
