WILLIAM ANDERSON BERNARD May 29, 1934 - November 14, 2002 After a lengthy illness on November 14, 2002, William (Bill) Bernard of Winnipeg passed away very peacefully. Bill was born in Winnipeg and lived most of his life there. He cherished his many good friends that were just like family to him. Bill worked for Hill Security for many years and was devoted to his work. He was also involved with the Kiwanis Club. Bill had a companion, Marmalade, his cat that he truly adored, that kept him company through the latter years until he could no longer take care of him. His brother Alex (wife Betty) of Victoria, BC; brother-in-law Art Johnson of Florida, USA; brother-in-law Ron Hopkins of Nanaimo, BC; and various nieces and nephews survive Bill. God has welcomed him into His world to be with his mother Isabella; father Alexander; sisters, Charlotte and Agnes; and brother Dave. At Uncle Bills request only a private ceremony at the St. James Cemetery will take place. A special thank you to uncle Bills homecare givers. A special thank you to Susies special angels, Jerry and Jeannie McAlpine, for being there for my Uncle Bill until God took his hand.
