FREDERICK JOHN JAMES LANG It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our father Frederick John James Lang, at the Grace Hospital on November 15, 2002. He was predeceased by his wife Laura Lang and his grandson Ronnie Sigouin. Fred is survived by four children, Frederick (Joyce) Lang of Victoria, BC, Kathleen (Sam) Zaik of Winnipeg, Audrey Sigouin of Winnipeg, and Jean (Allan) Glougie of Nanaimo, BC; 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; one sister Kathleen Thorsteinson; and his niece Joyce Gray. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends. Fred prided himself on living independently for as long as he was able. Fred enjoyed deep discussions on history and current affairs of the world. Many of these discussions were held with the gang in the lobby at the Eastern Star, where he resided until January of 2002, when ill health forced him to move to Tuxedo Villa. Viewing will be held at 1:30 p.m. and funeral service will take place at 2:00 p.m. at Gloria Dei Lutheran Church, 637 Buckingham Rd., on Thursday, November 21. A reception will follow in the Parish Hall. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of ones choice.
