Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES EDWARD TERRIS BSc, BEd, MEd Passed away peacefully in his sleep, at his residence on Monday, November 18, 2002. Born in Melville, SK in 1924 where he received his early education before joining the Navy, serving in the North Atlantic and minesweeping in the English Channel. He spent 37 years in the field of Education before retiring in 1985. Throughout his life, he was active in all sports, especially golfing, bowling and curling. He was a long-standing member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles and Knights of Columbus and since retiring spent many years helping the Christmas Cheer Board. He is survived, and will be sadly missed by his beloved wife, Shirley, of 54 years and also his son Gaynor and daughter Carole, all of Winnipeg. He was a good husband and father; his first concerns were always for his family. A private family interment will take place at a later date in Green Acres Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, if anyone wishes, donations may be made to the Parkinson Society Manitoba, Research, 825 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3A 1M5 or the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation, 301 - 352 Donald St., Winnipeg, MB R3B 2H8.
