Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemorySTELLA KOHUT (nee LASKO) On Saturday, November 16, 2002, at the Seven Oaks Hospital in Winnipeg, Stella Kohut, nee Lasko, passed into her eternal rest at the age of 77 years. Stella was predeceased by her husband Peter S. Kohut on December 10, 1997; one sister Mary; and five brothers, Bill, George, Alexander, John and Jim. Left to mourn her passing are her son Ernie and wife Lesley of Winnipeg; three grand-children; and one great-grandchild; as well as two sisters, Elsie and Ethel; and three brothers, Mike, Peter and Joe; as well as many relatives and friends. Stella was born in Wawka, SK, to Alex and Martha Lasko, and spent much of her life in the Roseau River and Stuartburn area before moving to the Fred Douglas Lodge in Winnipeg. Prayers will be said on Thursday, November 21, 7:00 p.m. at Loewen Funeral Chapel in Steinbach. Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 22, 10:00 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Ukrainian Catholic Church at Stuartburn with Rev. Fr. Ihor Royik officiating. Interment will follow in the Parish Cemetery. Pallbearers for the service will be Eugene Bielkowski, Melvin Lichynski, Fred Slobodian, Darren Slobodian, Greg Kitching and Collin Kitching.
