CHARLOTTE EUNICE GUY (nee TURNER) It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Charlotte Eunice Guy on Friday, November 22, 2002 at Misericordia Hospital. Mrs. Guy, the daughter of the late John and Sarah Jane Turner was born in Litherland, Lancashire, England December 26, 1911 and came to Canada with her family in April 1926. Eunice and her family moved to the Neepawa area upon arrival to Canada, and it was there that she met and married her husband of 49 years the late Austin Guy. In 1944 the family moved to Winnipeg. Eunice was an active member of the Baptist Church, first in Neepawa and later as a Deaconess at the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Winnipeg. She enjoyed many of the activities associated with the church, singing in the choir, as a den mother for the Cub Scouts and many years as a Sunday School teacher. Mrs. Guy worked for a number of years at Robertson Little Stores in Winnipeg. She also had a love of crafts and many lovely pieces adorn her family members homes. Eunice was predeceased by her husband Austin (July 1980), son Raymond (November 1938), son Edward (April 1947) and daughter Joyce Burt (January 1987). She is survived by sister Ivy Hume of Brandon, MB, adopted sister Joan Blumquist (Walt) of British Columbia, son Grant (Evelyn) Guy and daughter Verla (Angus) McEwan, as well as son-in-law Terry Burt. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Wade and Jeff (Joanne) Holmes, Karen (Zyg) Iskierski, Teresa (Blake) Morden, Christine and Andrea Guy; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Timothy and Janina Iskierski, Katerina and Blake Morden all of Winnipeg and Theresa Quast (Rick) of Panoka, AB; great-great-grand-daughters, Jennifer and Stephanie Quast. There are also many nieces and nephews. The ground was cultivated, she planted her seeds, her perennials are growing. Eunice Guy is at peace with her God. Gone but not forgotten. The family would like to thank staff at St. Boniface and Misericordia Hospitals. Special thanks to the staff on Wolseley 3 of Misericordia and Chaplain Donald for their care and compassion on a difficult day. Funeral service will be held 1:00 p.m. Thursday, November 28 at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook St., with Fr. Ron McCullough officiating. Interment will take place December 4 at Riverside Cemetery in Neepawa, MB. Daniel and Timothy Iskierski will act as honorary pallbearers. If friends so desire donations may be made to a charity of their choice. BARDAL FUNERAL HOME 843 Sherbrook Street, 774-7474
