EMELINA KEMPER (nee DUMANSKE) 1908 - 2002 On Wednesday morning, November 20, 2002, Emelina Kemper of Winnipeg, peacefully went to be with the Lord at the age of 93 years. Emelina leaves to mourn her two daughters, Martha Heggs (Lawrence) of Weyburn, SK and Ruth Mittelstadt of Winnipeg; daughter-in-law MaryAnn Kemper of Burnaby, BC; as well as 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild. She was predeceased by her mother and father, Susana and Gottlieb Dumanske; and her only son Adolf Robert Kemper. Born on December 23, 1908 in the Ukraine, Emelina made her way to Canada in 1951, after living in both Germany and Argentina. Her faithful devotion to God was demonstrated in her 50 years of membership at Immanuel Pentecostal Church, as well as her unconditional love for not only family but also all that she met. She will be remembered for her rich sense of humour and compassion. Emelinas funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, November 25 in the Immanuel Pentecostal Church, 955 Wilkes Ave., with Pastor Erhard Buss officiating. For those who wish, viewing will take place one hour prior to her service. A reception will follow in the church auditorium, interment will then take place in Brookside Cemetery, 3001 Notre Dame Ave. As an expression of sympathy, donations in Emelinas memory may be made to the Brazil Orphanage - Home of the good shepherd, in care of Immanuel Pentecostal Church, 955 Wilkes Ave., Winnipeg, MB.
