Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLESLIE VICTOR MOXHAM Born July 15, 1910, in Bath England, died November 7, 2002, in White Rock, BC. Predeceased by his first wife, of 52 years, Blanche; and brothers, Ed and Fred. His memory will be kept with his loving wife Pat Love/Moxham; daughters, Pat (Dick) Logie, White Rock, Donna (Gerry) Moyer, Kelowna, BC; grandchildren, Jana, Rob, Chris, Kevin and Bradley; stepchildren, Bob Love, Marilyn (Paul) Begley, Sandra (Tom) Johnston; and five stepgrandchildren; great-granddaughter Olivia; sisters, Lil (Maurice) Falloon, Mick (Jim) Hamilton; and numerous nieces and nephews. Les was raised in Birtle, MB. He and his brother Ed joined the RCMP together in 1935. He served in Ottawa and with the musical ride. He married Blanche in 1939 in Saskatchewan and was stationed in Swift Current, Biggar, St. Walberg and Regina where he retired in 1952. He was with Civil Defense and St. John Ambulance while in Regina, retiring in 1975. He and Blanche moved to Richmond in 1979 to be closer to their children. After Blanches passing in 1991 he became reacquainted with Pat Love from Waterloo, ON, whom he first met in Ottawa in 1937. They married in Victoria in 1995 and spent their summers in Ontario and winters in South Surrey. Even at 92 years of age he still maintained a sense of humour and wit that was always evident. He always enjoyed his morning walk and continuous contact with the people. He said that these two things and doing his daily crossword puzzles kept him going. He will be deeply missed by his family and all that knew him. A memorial service was held on November 13 in Richmond, BC. Interment will be held at the RCMP cemetery in summer of 2003.
