Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryHARRY WEREMY It is with great sadness that the family of Harry Weremy announce his peaceful passing on November 22, 2002 after heart surgery at the St. Boniface Hospital. He leaves to mourn his loving wife of 46 years, Olive; daughter Janice (Don) Lucek and grandson Matthew; son Andrew (Lisa) and granddaughters, Alexa, Lauren and Olivia; sisters, Margaret Duff, Pearl Samagalski, Anne Bendera and Diane; brothers, Clarence, Jerry and David; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, William and Katherine Weremy. Harry was born on March 17, 1931 in Poplar Park, MB. He worked for the City of Winnipeg for several years and moved on to Seven Oaks Hospital until his retirement. Harry was a great lover of nature and the outdoors. He loved the sun and was fortunate to have had the opportunity to experience the tropical sun. Harry had his own plane and enjoyed many fishing trips up North. He said he was at peace when he was up in the sky. He enjoyed activities such as gardening, visiting with his buddies and working the land. He was an avid pool player and was the recipient of bronze and silver medals for the MSOS games. As much as Harry had a zest for life his first love was his family and especially his grandchildren. His beautiful blue eyes always had a twinkle for his grandchildren. Special thanks to the SICU Team at St. Boniface for their care and compassion. Cremation has taken place in accordance with Harrys wishes. We invite all who knew Harry to a celebration of his life on Wednesday, November 27 at 10:30 a.m. at Notre Dame Church, 269 Jemima St. in Selkirk, MB with Fr. Boguslaw Wardzinski officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to St. Benedicts Foundation, 225 Masters Ave., Winnipeg, MB R4A 2A1 or the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba, 301-352 Donald St., Winnipeg R3B 2H8.
