GIUSEPPINA DERRICO (nee SCINICARIELLO) Peacefully after a lengthy illness on Monday, November 25, 2002 at the Maples Personal Care Home, Giussepina passed away at the age of 66 years. She is survived by her children, Raphaela Lecomte (Gerald), Erasmo (Leah), and Laura DErrico; grandchildren, Gina, Gino, and Desiree; also her mother Civita Scinicariello; brother Cosmo (Pina) sister Rita Rampone (Tony) as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Giuseppina was predeceased by her husband Alfredo and her father Erasmo. Giussepina was born and lived in Gaeta, Italy until her marriage to Alfredo. They then moved to Belgium to start a family. After five years in Belgium, they decided to join the rest of the family in Canada, settling in Winnipeg. Giuseppina worked for many years at the Westin Hotel. Her life revolved around her family and friends. Prayers will be said on Tuesday, November 26 at 7:30 p.m. in Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, November 27 at 10:00 a.m., also in the church, with Fr. Michael Savarimuthu presiding. Interment will follow in St. Marys Cemetery. Reception will follow the burial at Villa Cabrini, 433 River Ave. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association.
