HELGA BJORNSON (nee LOFTSON) On November 22, 2002 in the Eriksdale Hospital, Helga Bjornson (nee Loftson) passed away peacefully. Helga was born on July 10, 1918 and lived her entire life in the Lundar area. She will be deeply missed by her sons, Tim and Stan of Lundar, MB; and by her daughter Joy of Victoria, BC. She was predeceased by her husband Mundi, and by her son Carl and leaves Carls children, Ray and Elizabeth. She will also be deeply missed by her sisters, Elsie (Bruno) Dudar of Winnipeg, Thora Thompson of Vancouver and Inga (Russell) Garbutt of Lundar; her sisters-in-law Svava Arnason of Lundar, Asta (Bob) Smart of Portage la Prairie and Shirley Loftson of Vancouver. Nick, Alison and Rory Angus of Victoria will greatly miss and always remember their Amma. We are very grateful for the excellent care Mom received from all of the staff at Eriksdale Hospital and from the home care workers in Lundar. At her request, there will be no funeral service. A private family ceremony will follow at a later date.
